The Gift from the Prince of Peace – John 14:25-31
Jesus understood exactly how His disciples felt. He offered clarification for the imminent actions about to take place. 1 Corinthians 2:11-13

The Father was sending a gift, the Helper! God the Son was returning to Heaven and God the Father was sending God the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name to help them.

God the Holy Spirit was not only coming to help, but He was also coming to teach the disciples spiritual truths and remind them of Jesus’ teachings. Ephesians 1:3-14

Jesus left His disciples a gift – Peace! Jesus left the disciples with His personal peace. He could do this because He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Jesus comforted His disciples troubled and fearful hearts. Philippians 4:4-9

Once more, Jesus told His disciples about His imminent future ascension to the Father.

Jesus had/has a high view of God the Father. He loved because He is love.

Jesus provided aid to the weak faith of the disciples. He referenced “when” – a future state when everything He said would come (did come) to pass.

Jesus acknowledge the present work and limited power of Satan. 1 Peter 5:8-11

Jesus declared Satan’s liabilities and his failures before a sinless King Jesus, therefore, having no part of His Kingdom. John 8:44

Jesus’ determined to demonstrate to His disciples and the world, His love of and His obedience to, God the Father.
