Brandon Farbstein is literally one of the rarest people on Earth, but his strength can be an example to everyone. Diagnosed with a rare form of dwarfism at the age of 2 (metabotropic dysplasia), his life is one of the most universally human lives I have ever known. In this deeply moving episode, Brandon shares with Hayley his suicide attempt, receiving daily death threats from students at his school and how he has been the driving force behind two pieces of legislation that were signed into law in Virginia, one on bullying prevention and the other requiring empathy and emotional intelligence to be taught in all K-12 classrooms across the state. Brandon’s journey of self-love, self-acceptance and service to others is a map of the most beautiful aspects of human nature and a reminder of the enduring rewards that come with personal responsibility. Bradon’s book “A Kids About Self-Love” is available for preorder at https://brandonfarbstein.com/
