I am delighted to welcome Lou Joyce to today’s podcast, Managing Director of The Natural Dispensary (practitioner prescribed mail order natural healthcare company). Lou grew up on the West coast of Australia with a wonderful connection to the outdoors, land, nature and natural food. Having spent a week's work experience at a natural health college, on leaving school Lou decided to study Naturopathy.
Lou wished to travel and explore the World. She arrived in London in 2008 and as Europe was so easy to reach she decided to start work at a supplement company and has stayed in the UK ever since. London convenience food was a bit of an eye opener and the change to a cold indoor environment much of the year meant a switch from endless salads!
Lou was a founding partner of Invivo, the home of human microbiome testing that I utilise in my practice.
We discussed the importance of encouraging and educating healthy eating by keeping things simple. We also discussed the importance of wellbeing of teams and employees (in Lou’s company she has introduced growing vegetables and has installed a greenhouse).
