Masked Man 63/100: The Modern Musician
Manage episode 326771398 series 3343034
Hello and welcome back to the Miss Amanda Chen Show. We are now in Season 3 of the 100 Masked Men series, where I anonymously interview different men from all walks of life about masculinity, expectations from society and how that affects our self worth.
June is pride month, so this week I sit down with men who are challenged about their personal understanding of gender when interacting with members of the LGBTQ. I'm really glad we touched on aspects of gender norms as a form of identity, that is wrapped up in wanting the approval of others or to be seen as you are approving of others that you might feel you have privilege or power over.
Masked Man #63 is the Modern Musician. At a ripe age of 22, he shares his introspective spirals on what matters most to him, especially when I ask him a profound question - what would you die for? We speak about the masculine trait of wanting a challenge, and the tension of becoming complacent without challenge or discomfort to push you. Let's get into it. I hope you enjoy the show.
