Upping the distance, gradually - the jump from 50 mile ultras straight to 100 miles sounds a bit much so I’ve booked the Race to the King 100k (65 mile) ultra in June 2024. Does the training differ at all? What should I be doing? And as usual for this exhausted mum, what’s the minimum I can get away with? In 2000 a car on the wrong side of the road, overtaking on a blind summit, crashed into coach Tim's car leaving him in a coma for two weeks and life-threatening injuries that took him years of surgeries and rehab to recover from.
