Season 1 - EP #20 - David Buttifant
Join Wayne Carey as he jumps into episode 20 of the show with Special Guest number 4, David Buttifant.
Widely regarded as Collingwood's 23rd man during their premiership challenging years from 2001-2013, ultimately leading to their drought-breaking premiership win in 2010. You may recall David, Mick Malthouse & Eddie McGuire pioneered the 1% difference for Collingwood, with a memorable highlight being their high-altitude training during their pre-season in Arizona, USA.
David and Wayne actually spent time together at North Melbourne during 1994-1998, being a part of the 1996 premiership, before being recruited by the Australian Olympic team to help in the preparation for the Sydney 2000, Summer Olympic games. After this success he moved into his role at Collingwood and the rest as they say is history. David has also spent time with Carlton and trained the Essendon players who were sitting out the season following the supplements saga.
Wayne and David talk about David's current business Resilience Builders & his passion for the NICK foundation, named and in dedication after his late son Nick, who took his life in 2009. David really is an incredible human and you will get so much from listening to his journey and the impact he has had on so many around him.
