Can’t wait for you to check out this week’s episode of The BibRave Podcast! Tim and Jess talk with Mike Nishi, Chief Operating Officer of Chicago Event Management (CEM) - the company that puts on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon (among other events)!

As a Chicago native, Mike’s long history with the Chicago Marathon is fascinating (his childhood story of running it for his first time is mind-blowing). The fact that his company is now responsible for the herculean task of operating the race of more than 40,000 people gives his story even more cachet.

In addition to discussing all things Chicago, Marathon, and CEM, the three discuss issues that are top of mind as we enter Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May. Mike talks about what it was like being a Japanese American in Chicago from the 70s, through to the present day, and he and Jessica discuss some of their difficulties processing and reacting to recent attacks against Asian Americans in this country.
