If you're like many fathers who are engaged in present parenting or want to get better at relating to your kids and raising them, you probably have a list of things that are part of your core parenting values. You may have gotten some of these from your father, stepfather, an uncle, a grandfather or another father-figure in your life. And hopefully these traits have proven to be indispensable to your parenting style and your children's overall wellbeing. And yet, sometimes there are things that either aren't passed down to us or that we somehow get lax about and these things could impact our relationship with our children and their moms.
