Inspired by one of our favourite reads Range, Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialised World by David Epstein we debate the + & -'s of being a generalist versus an expert in your career, particularly as we advance and gain additional experience, knowledge, and connection to ourselves. Which path are you taking? Is one better than the other? We seem to make the case for the generalist, but we admit some of that comes from a deep jealousy of epidemiologists.
