This Is How We Walk Together
Manage episode 454804353 series 2825460
INTRODUCTION:
The Body of Christ is beginning to move differently. How are we going to relate? There needs to be a diligence to open our hearts to the Lord to create oneness. We have never seen a united body of believers such as is coming in His Kingdom.
SHOW NOTES:
Know your calling. Be aware of what He created you to be, and stand on that.
Avoid being critical or judgmental. The best approach is just to put people in the hands of the Lord.
The diversity of the Body, as the Word describes, will bring us into a greater appreciation of each other.
Bless people. Then God will grow each one into what they are to be.
We may not agree with what someone is doing. David is an example. He certainly made mistakes, but God called him “a man after His own heart.”
QUOTATIONS:
Diversity and division are two different things. People try to make them the same thing. Diversity comes with the blood of the Lamb. Division does not.
I know what the Lord is doing—He's teaching us to love those who are walking a different path.
Be aware of the other people out there that are doing the will of God where they're at.
We learn to love those who are walking towards the same destination with the same Lord, and being led by His Spirit.
Our job is to love people.
REFERENCES:
We are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
(to Saul) but now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought out for Himself a man after His own heart and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people. (David).
They run like mighty men, they climb the wall like soldiers; and they each march in line, nor do they deviate from their paths. They do not crowd each other, they march everyone in his path.
For the Body is not one member, but many. If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all you mind.” This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Let your love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.
TAKEAWAY:
As the Body of Christ begins to manifest more and more, we may not always understand that it is the Body. There will probably be more opportunities to be “fitted together” that we've not ever experienced before. The Lord will be creating this new Body, because we will not be able in our own strength. We want to love and bless and believe that by His grace we will move in that brotherly love that He commanded.
