Episode 20: Special Guest Melissa Swain on Widow Brain
Manage episode 422408109 series 3552905
It's been reported that when we lose our mate, the trauma of the loss can disrupt up to 50% of our brain capacity, for up to three years. And yet, at the same time, a widow now finds herself responsible for twice as much as before in the absence of the one who used to manage those other tasks.
Melissa Swain joins us today to unpack these and other statistics related to the widow experience and what is commonly known as "Widow Brain".
Melissa and her late husband Chris's book, "Write it on Their Hearts" is available on Amazon.
