This message will focus on the idea that we all will have to stand before God the judge – who will want us to provide the evidence of why we deserve to spend eternity with him. We will provide a series of character witnesses who will detail our good deeds. The man in heaven’s court will start to sense some confidence because of all the good he has done. Then the judge will demonstrate that good deeds are not enough to satisfy heaven’s justice. The man will realize that he is in big trouble – the judge will then ask if there is anyone who can speak on this man’s behalf before judgment is pronounced. Jesus steps forward...
