We have our first ever neurodivergent nurse on the show! Sarah tells us all about her line of work as a district nurse and her experiences as a woman with autism and ADHD. We talk about 'finding your area' in life and work (which Sarah has thankfully done) to maintain a good level of self care. Easier said than done!

One thing that constantly comes up when discussing neurodivergence is the concept of empathy, and the misconception that it's lacking in autistic people. Sarah's work as a district nurse, her desire to provide a voice for other neurodivergent people in her line of work, and her commitment to fostering a community via her Facebook group are just some of the ways in which Sarah disproves this misconception - she's a very empathetic person!

About Our Guest
Sarah is 25 and has been tackling this world as a nurse living with neurodivergence for the last few years. She describes herself as ‘one of the lucky ones’ who was formally diagnosed with combined ADHD at the age of 3 and has just recently received an ASD diagnosis. However, her journey growing up wasn't the easiest, despite getting an early diagnosis.

She describes herself as a creative, purple-obsessed, cat-lover who gives off alotta ‘golden retriever’ energy. She is also one quarter of the admin team for a Melbourne-based ADHD page designed for women and gender-diverse people.
