The current mentality around mental health and our existing solutions both in society and in the workplace does have some impact, but fundamentally, we have not been taught a toolbox of emotional health skills both as individuals and leaders. In this podcast, Dr. Karthik Ramanan (Dr. K) illustrates a holistic model, the Five Pillars of Emotional Health: Psychology, Relationships, Nutrition, Sleep, and Body Movement. Through his journey from burned-out Wall Street professional to losing 100 pounds and becoming a naturopathic doctor and emotional health expert, Dr. K will inspire you to stop chasing joy and begin living in wonder!
About the Guest Speaker:
Dr. Karthik Ramanan, NMD ("Dr. K") is a Keynote Speaker at the upcoming 2023 AZSHRM Annual State Conference! He is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and your Emotional Health Mentor. Dr. K completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University with dual bachelor’s degrees in Biological Sciences and Applied Economics and Management. After experiencing a life-changing 100-pound weight loss journey through lifestyle change and a focus on emotional wellness, he left his New York City Golden Sachs career and attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona to become a naturopathic physician. Now through his Emotionally Healthy Company benefit program, Dr. K helps companies overcome challenges associated with employee burnout and stress. He does so by mentoring company leaders and team members with actionable knowledge and strategies to get to the root cause of burnout and stress.
