My guest this week is Will Scott. Author of The Culture Fix and founder of The Culture Fix Academy, Will has helped hundreds of businesses around the world fulfill their corporate culture dreams. He leads workshops and speaks regularly using his Alive, Thrive & Drive methodology and is host of The Culture Fix podcast. His 25 year span as an entrepreneur includes five start-ups, 2 exits and several Inc. 5000 appearances before focusing on Culture Fulfillment™ using his proprietary 9 deeds in 90 days. He is a yoga devotee, avid traveler, and loves everything outdoors.
Here are a few of my takeaways from the episode:
1. The role of the CEO in culture is important but involving the entire organization and creating a culture team is what creates long term success in creating a culture. The bigger the company, the less influential the role of the CEO.
2. A great definition of culture is an organization where people lead with values.
3. On the journey of creating a strong culture, there will be bumps along the way but there is always something even better on the other side.
4. Creating theme songs, karaoke, dance routines, telling stories, playing charades are some ways that Culture Fix integrate and embed a culture that tap into all the senses.
