After the murder, Gypsy's shocking post on Dee Dee's Facebook account alerted authorities, leading to their arrest. Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2016 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Godejohn was sentenced to life without parole.

The episode also explores Gypsy's life after prison. Released in December 2023 after serving eight years, she quickly remarried but filed for divorce just months later. Gypsy reconnected with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, and the couple is now expecting their first child in January 2025.
