How to Turn A Passion Into a Charity: Afghanistan Edition with Samea Zarifi
Samea started a grass root charity from her home in Sydney, Australia, helping with food packs, medical supplies, and sewing school in Afghanistan.
The sudden and recent withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan caused a lot of panic but the small and humble charity called Srowzar Children was on the ground in Afghanistan, helping the devastated people that had piled into a park in Kabul with no food, water or shelter.
This interview covers the process and ah ha moment Samea turned her passion for a war torn country that's been used as a soccer ball for the past 40 years, into a charity, and its timing could not have been better since transition of power.
This is an eye opening interview about:
The necessity of small, grass root charities,
The process from accepting a donation to the delivery of food to the people in need
The change of charity distribution since Taliban takeover
And how to take your passion project and turn into your own charity for the cause you want to champion, even when circumstances are life threatening.
