Manage episode 372857503 series 3443932
Caitlyn Prince and the team at New Zealand Charity Sustainable Coastlines have already cleaned up a massive 1.7 million litres of trash on and around new Zealand's beaches. That's almost a quarter of a million tons of litter since 2019. Caitlyn puts this success down to two things: litter intelligence, or understanding the data using software, and engaging local communities and students. In this episode of Tomorrow's Green Leaders, Caitlin shares why it's so important to protect coastlines, why it's about starting local and doing what you can when it comes to climate action, and why celebrating the wins is a crucial part of the process.
