July 1, he will be joining the Calhoun School community as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He is a principal consultant with the Glasgow Group, a faculty member of the Student Diversity Leadership Conference, and a committee member of the NYSAIS Diversity Committee. Becca Mui is a queer, cis femme, biracial, social justice advocate. She is currently the Education Manager at GLSEN, a non-profit organization focused on LGBTQ support in K-12 schools. In her role, Becca creates resources, oversees GLSEN’s professional development program, and supports educators and administrators in creating LGBTQ-integrated schools. Becca received her Master’s in Education from Bank Street College with a specialization and certification in Literacy. She received a B.A. in English from the College of New Rochelle and a certification for NY State in Elementary Education. She worked for ten years as an elementary teacher, Equity and Inclusion Director, and LGBTQ coordinator.
