Any time I take on a new coaching client, I ask them the same question. It may come across with different verbiage, but the underlying meaning is still the same. The question is:
If we were sitting together a certain number of years from now, what has to have happened – both personally and professionally – for you to be really satisfied with the outcome of your life?
Feature Presentation:
To be content and fulfilled with the progress you’ve made in life, what needs to take place?
If you don’t have any idea what you’d like your future to look like, or what you want to achieve, it becomes nearly impossible to succeed in that which you have not defined.
Take this exercise seriously in different areas of your life: health, finances, relationships, career. What matters to you, and how can you define what needs to happen in a certain time frame in order to ensure success?
Write the question on a blank piece of paper, and answer it honestly and freely in answer beneath the question.
Once you define in writing – from a sincere, genuine heart-level – what you want your life to look like in the future, it becomes the baseline for the choices you make, the tasks you undertake, and the choices you pursue.
Ask yourself THE QUESTION.
