Dolph Simons Jr., a 3rd generation American news publisher, played a significant role in the newspaper industry. He is best known for his commitment to community service and as the chairman of The World Company in Lawrence, Kansas. The World Company was the parent company of the Lawrence Journal-World newspaper, which had been managed by the Simons family since 1892.
The history of the Simons family has been chronicled in his book entitled "This Writer...." which will be released in late September 2023.
