Have you ever seen the Macy's Parade, rode or ran many miles for a charity, seen an outrageous marketing event staged in the middle of a heavily trafficked area, or participated in a large corporate event? If you have, you are familiar with the kind of events dreamed up and executed by Matt Glass and the company that he and his wife Jen founded, Eventage. Their company’s roots can be traced to the day they met while working on the Macy's Parade.

Matt is the first to say that, “what we do is not rocket science;” however, any layperson attending any of their events would likely disagree. Even if Matt’s right, what sets them apart from others in their industry is how they do what they do. From employees, to clients, to event participants, to venue operators, and the venues themselves (think large swaths of grass with big trucks driving over them), Matt and Jen make sure everyone is well taken care of. There have been many lessons along the way that have taught Matt the importance of treating everyone well, not pointing fingers when things go wrong, and giving lots of latitude to employees who work long, strange hours.
