Greg has raced 17 grand tours and 5 Olympic games and worked closely with Andre Greipel, Mark Cavendish and other world-class sprinters. He is known for his race IQ and now operates as a director sportif in his post-racing career. Greg and I sat down to discuss the current state of play for sprinters in the world tour. Where has this booming sprint field come from? What’s changed in the modern lead-outs? And who is the fastest sprinter of the current crop of fast men in the men’s peloton? We also touch on Kiwi rising stars Laurence Pithie and Ally Wollaston and get Greg’s take on where they can go in their careers.
