Brooks is the senior pastor of New Beginnings Church of Chicago. He is also the founder and CEO of Project H.O.O.D. (Helping Others Obtain Destiny). He gained fame by spending 94 days living on the roof of the Super Motel across the street from his church to bring attention to the violence in his South Side Chicago neighborhood.
