Both presidential candidates are back on the campaign trail following this weekend’s assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. After the first attempt on Trump’s life back in July, when he was nearly killed by a shooter’s bullet at a Butler, Pennsylvania, rally, there were calls for more civility. Still, both sides soon returned to using fiery rhetoric. Will anything change this time? Former Trump campaign senior adviser and FOX News contributor Kellyanne Conway joins the Rundown to discuss the state of the 2024 presidential race, what President Trump’s strategy should be in the closing weeks, and if she thinks the presidential campaign will be toned down.

Rare bipartisan agreement has taken shape in Congress on an issue that is now being fought in the courts. Republicans and Democrats are united in the belief that TikTok must be divested from its parent company, ByteDance, which is controlled by and based in China. Fears have arisen that the app, which has been downloaded by millions of users across the United States, poses a national security risk by allowing the Chinese Communist Party access to U.S. TikTok users’ phones and data. Associate Law Professor at the University of Minnesota Alan Rozenshtein joins to discuss the legal case that faces TikTok and the prospect of the company being split from its Chinese partners.

Plus, commentary by columnist David Marcus.
