This short episode replaces the planned episode.
The other side raised the Fair Parenting Podcast in court this week but could not show anything improper. They also added more false allegations which were very upsetting.
The podcast release schedule is planned weeks ahead and today we were due to release an episode with the Family Court Reform Coalition. I have postponed it as this week’s events leave me in a state of worry.
Four years of false allegations, alienation & gaslighting has left me treading on eggshells.
The Family Court Reform Coalition is a solid organisation whose report has been viewed by judges and MPs. Many of them have said the system needs reform so the idea of reform is non-contentious and the episode has balanced sensible proposals.
However, I worry that, a few days after court, the other side may say I hastily recorded an episode about court reform. They have not done so but the history of corrosive false allegations worries me.
I am not anti-court, I am pro-court. That is why I have been in court for 4 years. The current system has flaws and is exploited by malicious parties and many MPs and judges have said the same, however discussing it on the podcast could be exploited and used to attack me.
Four years of psychological abuse and allegations takes a toll. I am sure many who have been through similar can understand.
The episode was recorded and tweeted about in October but court hearings often don’t have enough time for fact checking and mud can stick if enough is thrown.
On the wider point of podcasting, last week, court said I should get legal advice and podcasting was OK as long as kept to the court order. I respect court orders and I will keep within them.
In July, before the podcast launched, in a different court, a judge suggested we tell our story to help others. I was surprised but she did say that. I will keep within the terms of court orders.
So, I apologise to The Family Court Reform Coalition (FCRC.uk). It was a timing problem this week. It is a good episode and I look forward to publishing it soon.
Instead, we have my reflections on podcasting during proceedings and why I make the podcast. It has always been about the listeners, guests and helping others and not about my case. Thanks to all of you who listen and give feedback.
I recorded it on my phone yesterday to get thoughts down. I was going to re-record but I decided the phone recording was authentic and ‘real’ so here it is. I hope you enjoy it.
