When Happy Days premiered in 1974, it was trounced in its Tuesday 8pm time slot by another sitcom: Good Times. In fact, Good Times was the 7th most popular show of the season, coming in higher than ’70s classics like The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Bob Newhart Show. Fifty years later, the show was celebrated with a special panel at Gallatin Comic Con, where Bern Nadette Stanis, who played teenage daughter Thelma Evans on the show, shared her memories of working with her on-screen mother, the late Esther Rolle.
