Tea Time with Raymond and Sarah is a podcast series discussing the topics surrounding modern digital phenomena. The goal is to be a more pop-cultured-based, lighter, short-sighted version of Black Mirror; we will be talking about how digital technology is affecting our society and culture in any variety of ways, but our approach is different because we are optimistic about the future. Sarah and I come from a place of fun and light when we analyze any given phenomena rather than coming off as cold and pessimistic. Our pilot episode will be about Instagram and its implications on society, specifically those under 35 years old. This discussion seeks to present a holistic argument by presenting both the positive and negative effects of Instagram on society. As two Account Executives at Deck’d Media, a boutique creative marketing firm, we shed light on tactics employed by social media strategists that cause some of the societal impacts of Instagram.
