Should You Bother Tracing Your Family Tree with Ancestry.com
Manage episode 377986393 series 3339406
Ever wanted to know what other di*kheads might emerge if you look high enough up your family tree? With Ancestry.com, now you can!
The fancy word for this practice is “genealogy”. It doesn’t have to include di*kheads, per se, but given you typically have over 1000 relatives across 10 generations, there’s bound to be a few in there, statistically speaking.
Unsure of whether ancestry.com can actually confirm which relatives are said di*kheads, we’re still very curious about what it does offer.
Is it just a chart where you enter names on a family tree? Assuming it can give you more insight about your lineage than the family members you never speak to? How much effort is it going to be really? And will it even be worth it in the end??
As always, there’s questions here that need to be addressed! Along with the biggest of all - is this something you should bother with??
Well, that’s something we hope to address next week.
For now, listen in to hear what we found about ancestry.com on the world wide webs along with a few dumb genealogy related stories and our game of the week, “Genealogist, come to your census!”
Liked this episode or have a suggestion for something we should bother doing? We’d love your review!
