The general perception is that herbs, bark and roots are just weird teas and capsules that are ineffective and unimpressive -- when in fact, plants were the original remedy and science has copied nature. Most people are unaware of the profound influence natural remedies have had on the development of modern pharmacology. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but in this case, is it? In today’s episode, I discuss ethnobotany and pharmacognosy from a researchers and consumers perspective shedding light on the true value of nature and plants as medicine.
