This book is a game changer! In this episode, I summarize the last 3 categories of the KonMarie Method (papers, Komono, sentimental items)

In this episode, the following topics are covered:

  • How to get rid of most of your papers
  • The few papers you need to keep
  • How to get organize the papers you decide to keep
  • How to organize your Komono in different categories
  • How to stop yourself from holding onto things out of guilt
  • Certain items you should definitely toss
  • What to consider when doing the KonMarie Method with share items
  • What not to do when getting rid of sentimental items
  • How getting rid of sentimental items helps you step into a bigger future
  • How to go through photos correctly
  • And much more!

Here are the categories of Komono in the KonMarie Method:

  1. CDs, DVDs (do people still have these?)
  2. Skin care products
  3. Makeup
  4. Accessories
  5. Valuables (passport, credit card, etc.)
  6. Electrical Equipment and appliances (digital cameras, electrical cords, anything that seems vaguely 'electric')
  7. Household equipment (stationary and writing materials, sewing kits, etc.)
  8. Household supplies (expendables like medicine, detergents, tissues, etc.)
  9. Kitchen goods/food supplies (spatulas, pots, blenders, etc.)
  10. Other (spare change, figurines, etc.)
