Today, I have an amazing guest, Colie James. I've known her online for years, and we finally got to meet in person at a conference in January. She's absolutely wonderful, inspiring, and incredibly knowledgeable about systems and all things business. I can’t wait to share her brilliance on the podcast today!

In our conversation, we’re diving deep into topics like:
- What most people MISS when starting to put more formal systems together in their business
- What to do first if you find yourself being a bottleneck in your business
- How to repurpose your content strategically (she has brilliant ideas on this!)
- Using automation in your business systems to save time
- How to create more freedom in your life by automating your business.

And so much more - I absolutely loved this whole conversation! And heads up, we'll be diving into Dubsado in this episode, which is the CRM both Colie and I use. If you're not familiar with what a CRM is or what Dubsado is, don't worry! We'll explain it during the episode.

Big changes are coming to the Breakthrough Brand Podcast! In this episode, I’m sharing a personal and business update that’s been months in the making—I’m shifting the podcast to a seasonal format and taking a three-month break from releasing new episodes. But don’t worry, this isn’t a goodbye! To be clear, I’ll still be actively working in my business and the podcast itself is NOT ending. I’ll be back soon with fresh content, and I’m excited to share the reasons behind this shift, how I made this decision, and what I’ll be focusing on during this break. If you’ve ever wondered how to balance content creation, business growth, and life’s changing seasons, this episode is for you. I’ll dive into why I’m making this shift, what it means for the future of the podcast, and how you can apply the same intentional decision-making to your own business. Plus, I’ll answer some questions you might be wondering about this change and what you can do while the podcast is on pause. Let’s dive in! Timestamps for the Q&A of things you might be wondering (in case you end up wanting to skip around): Be sure to listen to the first part of the episode as well where I explain this shift. 17:46 - Why are you choosing to take a break from something that is profitable? 19:20 - Do you think revenue will go down when you stop having weekly episodes? 22:36 - Was this a data decision or a gut decision? 24:13 - How do you make a gut decision like this? What was the process? 28:19 - Do you have any advice on making tough business decisions? 31:14 - What marketing efforts are you keeping? 33:20 - Do you think that will work fine for every business owner to take a content creation break? 34:47 - You've shared how most of your customers come through SEO/podcast... Do you think that will be affected? 37:19 - How did you decide on the break format? (Seasons versus airing every other week) 39:54 - What will you be doing with the time this podcast break frees up? 41:46 - Are you decreasing the amount you’re working (less than two days a week)? 44:25 - Now that we’ve talked about my business decisions, what should you do while there’s a break? In today’s episode, we’re talking about prioritizing health and wellness as busy women who are juggling businesses, chasing kids, managing marriages, maintaining friendships, and nurturing faith. With so much on our plates, our health often takes a backseat. Our guest today is Shaela Daugherty, host of the Simple Fitness Habits podcast. She’s a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach who believes that every woman can build a healthy, fit lifestyle—no matter what season of life they’re in. In this episode, we discuss why the busiest time in your life is actually the best time to prioritize your health. She shares simple, practical ways to focus on wellness without overwhelming your schedule or mental energy. We cover topics like hitting protein goals, incorporating rhythms for health and fitness as a busy mom, and even reframing the idea of our bodies as temples through scripture. I absolutely loved this conversation. After recording, I told Shaela how motivated I felt—I immediately got up, ate some protein, and went for a walk! Welcome to this year’s Christmas episode! This isn’t a business-related podcast today—it’s a fun, friend-to-friend chat with plenty of practical ideas to help you enjoy the Christmas holiday season. We’re talking about Christmas tradition ideas, both with and without kids, and specifically ways to bring God more into the season. I’ve got seven tradition ideas to share, and I’ll talk about each one based on things like how old your kids are or whether you have kids at all. For context, I have two kids, and my oldest is almost three and a half, so that’s the age range I have in mind for some of these. But many of them work really well for older kids or even just for you and your whole family. This episode is filled with inspiration for making the holiday season more intentional, joyful, and Christ-centered. Whether you're a parent, a couple, or celebrating solo, you’ll find ideas to bring new life to your Christmas traditions.
