S1 EP08: Meet PugsSOS (WA)
Manage episode 422049438 series 3377638
In this week's episode we're talking to Donna from PugsSOS (WA)
I have always thought of Rescue Foster Carers as Super Hero's - they take in surrendered Puggies who may have had a rough start to life and give them a home, as well as the love and attention they never got, but deserved so that they can be ready for their fur-ever loving home when they're ready.
This episode isn't just about the beautiful Puggies who are in care, and can I just say you're going to love Pippy the rescue Puggie who was on the Show, it is also about the amazing work that Foster Carers do, and what it takes to be a Foster Carer to a rescue Puggie.
In this episode Donna will share:
01:43 - Getting to know Pippy and her story
07:08 - Gizmo and his conditions
09:01 - How Winston and George went into foster care
12:40 - What is PugsSOS’ mission
14:25 - What inspired Donna to get involved with PugsSOS
20:08 - How do the pugs go when they leave
23:10 - What does it take to be a foster carer
28:41 - How long does a pug stay in foster care
30:09 - How can other people get involved if they can’t commit to becoming foster carers

NEXT WEEKS EPISODE:
In this weeks episode I am talking to you about losing Charles at play group, not something I do often .. or should I say ever!
It’s not unusual for me to see Charles in the arms of one of his Aunties getting spoilt with cuddles and kisses when he is not glued to my ankles, but not seeing him anywhere within about 60 seconds flicked the “SOMEONE’S TAKEN MY PUG!” switch and we were on a Pug-hunt like never seen in the park before, and had me asking myself why he ended up where we found him.
