MeterSYS is a consulting firm that specializes in helping utilities navigate through AMI and Smart City transitions. An AMI transition project is a comprehensive assessment and upgrade of a utility's existing water metering infrastructure to a more modern system that can read meters remotely on a consistent and frequent basis. This technology has been around for decades, however, factors such high costs and lack of trust in the technology slowed the initial rate of industry adoption. More recently, Lauren shares that AMI technology is gaining widespread momentum and explains why this wave of technology will continue to spread.
