What is the meaning of life? Existentialist thinkers tell us that there isn't one- you need to make one for yourself. Existentialism is a philosophical movement that concerns itself with the meaning of existence, and how we can find an essence, even though 'Existence Precedes Essence.'

We also talk about a crisis of meaning in modern day Sri Lanka, and what existentialism can tell us about the Sri Lankan political atmosphere.
