Brenda brings a wealth of experience, boasting over 15 years of work with community-based organizations, primarily centered on social justice. Her journey began as a formerly undocumented student, shaping her deep interest in politics. In fact, she even taught American Government at Cal State Fullerton before having the right to vote. Her passion for politics often takes the form of comical rants, and she is a prolific writer and speaker on topics ranging from politics to gender and civil rights.

Originally from Puebla, Mexico, Brenda now calls Los Angeles home, where she has become a self-appointed ambassador of Mexican cuisine, particularly Tacos Arabes, Cemitas, Mole, y Chiles en Nogada.
