Adebayo Akinfenwa aka "The Beast", is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Wycombe FC. He is known for his physical strength and heavy build. He has been a consistent goalscorer in over a decade with clubs in the lower two tiers of the Football League. Bayo got his career under way with Lithuanian club FK Atlantas, returning to the UK in 2003 and first making his mark with Torquay United, scoring 14 goals in 2004/05. After two seasons with Swansea City and one with Millwall, he signed for Northampton Town in 2008, and Gillingham in 2010. He then returned to the Cobblers for another two seasons, after which he rejoined the Gills in summer 2013. Since 2008, “The Beast”, as he likes to be known, has averaged over 15 League goals a season – and bagged 15 for the Dons in 2014/15, in 47 starts. Able to bench-press 180 kg, he is reputedly the world’s strongest footballer.
