At one of NGI's laboratories, researchers have done their best to mimic the conditions that are 384,400 kilometers away from Earth: The conditions on the Moon. By studying 10,000 particles from the Apollo expeditions, they gather valuable information for the first Moon expedition in 50 years – the Artemis. This time, the aim is to build a habitable base on the Moon, with permanent constructions and, for instance, a system for food production. After all, there are no lunar food delivery or takeaway services available for future astronauts.
