Episodio 5 - Cerrando la Brecha a través de Conexiones: Learning about the MOLA-NAMS 2023 Summit (Part 1)
Manage episode 378271943 series 3421383
This special episode is a collaborative and inspirational conversation between the leadership of NAMS (National Association for Medical Spanish) and MOLA (the Medical Organization for Latino Advancement), two robust organizations that advocate for the professional and health equity advancement of the Latinx/Hispanic population. We had a chance to sit down with MOLA President Óscar Iván Zambrano, as well as Phillip Sierra and Sabrina Martinez from MOLA and Rafael Ramos from NAMS to discuss the upcoming collaborative VII Annual MOLA Latinx Health Symposium and IV NAMS Medical Spanish Summit. We reflect on the origins of these two successful organizations and their missions, and discuss at length the role of Spanish language and advancement at a societal level and our ability to shape the culture surrounding language in medicine. Stay tuned for the second episode in this series, and don't forget to register for 2023 Summit!
