Humphrey Laubscher is a Product Innovation Coach at Apply Lean and has previously worked in innovation roles within Aus Post and Nab Labs. In this episode Humphrey shares his perspective on working in some of the Australia's most high profile innovation teams + what works and what doesn't when it comes to enterprise innovation. He also gets specific about what tools and techniques you can employ to build capability in your own team. As the Founder of Apply Lean Humphrey helps corporates and startups apply Lean Startup, Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to build innovative products. Most recently Humphrey was helping to drive Australia Posts new digital innovation strategy by leading a cross functional team in identifying, validating and experimenting new digital businesses that target their enterprise and government customers within his role as Lead Emerging Products Manager. Prior to joining AusPost, Humphrey was the FinTech Innovation Manager at National Australia Banks’ Innovation Lab, NAB Labs, Humphrey was responsible for sourcing, selecting and leading commercial partnerships with startups locally and globally. He developed and drove the adoption of Nab’s innovation pipeline methodology including the strategic objectives, methodologies and alignment back into the broader business. He also co-developed Nab’s $50m Corporate Venture Capital Funds investment strategy which was endorsed by Nab’s Board of Executives leading to the launch of NAB Ventures in 2016. Humphrey received his masters of management in information technology from Charles Sturt University. He currently lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and two children.
