Hailed as one of history's foremost military commanders, Alexander the Great rose to power in Macedonia in 336 BCE. His conquests spanned the Mediterranean, Egypt, the Middle East, and Asia, forging a vast empire. However, at the age of 32, he was struck by a mysterious illness ultimately killing him. To this day, it is still unknown what or who killed him.
