Hey everybody! What a great two weeks we have had learning all about our appliances! If you have had a chance to listen to episodes 110 and 111, definitely go back and check them out. We’ve had a great response from you - you have learned so much with us!
This week is our Book Club week! We are so excited about today’s book and hope you have had a chance to read it with us. It is Invited: The Power of Hospitality in an Age of Loneliness by Leslie Verner. And guess what? She is WITH US today! YESSSS!! We had some technical hilarity happening in the basement, which you might pick up on, but the discussion with her was still so, so good. We really, really loved this book so much and loved having her words and inspiration so fresh in our minds as we head into the holidays. She paints beautiful pictures of her time living in China for five years and other countries, and explains what she has come to learn from experiencing hospitality in other countries and cultures. We connected with her as we read it, seeing our own selves in her shoes, but were also inspired and even challenged. We cannot say enough how much we loved it, can you tell?!
From our “I’m Totally Into…” segment:
Leslie is totally into trying out sleep apps. She has been loving Sleep Sounds and Reflect !
Courtney is totally into Banza pasta. Check out our link - the packaging is even pretty!
Jennifer is totally into Simple Mills Fine Ground Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers. Seriously SO yum if you are grain free, sugar free, soy free, vegan or paleo! Whew!
Huuuuuge thanks to Leslie for not just writing this beautiful book, but chatting with us about it! Definitely check out her blog, her Instagram, and of course, HER BOOK (which you can also get as an audiobook with HER reading it!).
