On this episode of Men After God, I had a great conversation with

my guest Tom C. Petersen about the challenges of living out our

faith at work, ensuring that we bring our whole selves to work. We

talked about how to shine the light of Jesus in the workplace. To

help you dig deeper, Tom provided a few questions to help you

think through this topic. I pray that as you think through these, they

help spotlight how you think about being an effective Man After

God.

· What kind of expectations do you have about your work? Do you tend to have high

expectations, or low expectations? Do these expectations tend to be met, or do

they fall short? How do you react to that?

· How do you see your work through the lens of your faith? How do your work and

your faith align? How do they differ?

· Do you tend to compartmentalize your faith from your work, or other parts of your

life? How do you help ensure your faith and work are integrated?

· Are there particular elements of your job that you feel are especially challenging to

your faith? How do you reconcile the two?

· Living our faith at work is more than trying to baptize people at the water cooler.

How do you live out your faith at work?

· Do you think other people think of you as a Christian? What do you think shapes

their perception of your faith? Are there things you do, or say, or items in your

workspace that point to your faith?

· How do you think about sharing your faith with others at work? What comes to

mind? What discourages you from sharing your faith? What encourages you to

share with others?

· How hard is it to give yourself grace when you don’t meet your own expectations?
