Small businesses and solopreneurs often use marketing as a way to make themselves look good; like they've got it together and offer huge value.
Ironically, this often has the effect of pushing people away. We're so focused on making ourselves look cool and amazing that we end up intimidating our audience; making them feel unsafe. The opposite of what we most desire!
