with Gibran (@gibranhuzaifah), CEO and Co-founder of eFishery. He shared how he got into all sorts of businesses in college before finally exploring fish pond. He then shared how his idea of IoT automated feeding hardware got validated, meeting Chrisna by chance, who later became the co-founder. He also shared how eFishery, as a startup working in a niche problem and industry, had a difficulty in raising funds from VCs. Only with luck and persistence he raised his first round from Aqua Spark and Ideosource. He showed another resilience in go-to-market strategy by educating the fish pond farmers about the products and showing how to use smartphones. We also discussed why even after his startup has grown and profitable he still maintain a simple and down to earth life.
