Dave Aranda kept it blunt with reporters after Baylor's 44-31 loss to LSU in the Texas Bowl, saying the "moment was too big" for the Bears, leading to several mistakes throughout the game.

The 2024 Texas Bowl saw the LSU Tigers defeat the Baylor Bears 44-31 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had a strong performance, throwing for 304 yards and three touchdowns. Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson also had a solid game, passing for a career-high 445 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome LSU's offensive output.

This victory capped off a successful season for LSU, while Baylor, despite the loss, showed significant improvement throughout the year and will look to build upon that foundation for the future.
