Episode 44: Kristi and her Mission to Fund Canine Protectors
Manage episode 432928794 series 3555794
After serving on more than a dozen non-profit boards, all overseeing important charitable causes, Kristi became frustrated about the red tape involved in getting funding donations to the sources of the problems.
Then one night she saw a TV news show about a law enforcement officer in Houston who lost his service dog to violence.
She devoted much of her subsequent philanthropy to launching a new non-profit: "K9s4COPS" which places working dogs in schools, law enforcement organizations, and local communities.
In this episode of Liss'N Kristi, she tells Alissa how it all came about, and why it is increasingly important for local communities, and for her legacy.
