Knowing where you’re at with your finances and having solid foundations for your business (and life) is so so important.

I have supported a lot of women over the years as a mentor and seen a lot of challenges in creative, design and service-based businesses and lately, there seems to be this really big focus and push to find more clients…

“How to bring more clients to my business in 5 easy steps”.

“Do this to make 6 figures in your business”.

Etc etc.. these are basic examples I see a lot more that are speaking to the wrong thing in business right now.

What I’m not seeing or hearing as much is a focus on working on their businesses by building solid foundations, and having an in-depth understanding of their finances which is really the thing that’s going to make or break a business.

It’s a really interesting time for our economy so I absolutely understand this mindset and concern. And sure, as a business you’ve got to make money.

But do you actually need more clients and add to an already full schedule, or are you falling into the trap of the “shoulds” out of fear and a lack of understanding of where you’re really at with your finances?

And if you do bring more clients in, do you have the systems in place to make the onboarding process automated and seamless? Because it’s true, time is money.
