A troubling incident unfolded outside Aisle 9 on Route 9 and 10th Street in Lakewood on Wednesday evening, as surveillance footage captured a Chasidish man stealing an Israeli flag from a child’s bicycle.
The video shows the man exiting his vehicle and scanning the area, seemingly to ensure no one was watching. After confirming the coast was clear, he approached the child’s bike, removed the Israeli flag, concealed it inside his clothing, and then proceeded into the grocery store.
Neturei Karta – the group vociferously and disgracefully opposed to their Jewish brethren in Israel – has been less of a problem in Lakewood than some other areas, like Monsey, but these shameful individuals exist here too.
