Baalti is a San Francisco based Indian duo who have a knack for finessing retro South Asian samples to create dancefloor vibers. Their sample-heavy and groove-driven house style joins the dots between various South Asian musical forms and contemporary dance music. While describing Nans / Marigold, the duo says "This is our love letter to 80s Bolly Disco. We were really just trying to capture the excitement and playfulness of that era, but through the lens of modern club culture. Zoning in on groove, staying in the pocket, rhythm and movement before everything else. Keeping it crunchy and locked in."
